Description

Łazienki Park is spacious and full of life. Best to visit in the morning when people are not there yet. Note that it's open from 6 am. Two pairs of Chouette hulotte can be heard at night. If you ask a local birder they will be happy to show you where they spend their day. Canard mandarin, Harle bièvre and Canard colvert nest in the park. A pair of Grand Corbeau breed here every year as well.

The park is known for the many woodpecker species that can be seen here. It's difficult not to see Pic vert, Pic épeiche and Pic mar on your visit. If you have a bit more luck you might see Pic épeichette, Pic noir or a Pic syriaque. Various songbirds breed here, Sittelle torchepot is very common. In May and June you might spot a Gobemouche noir or Gobemouche gris in the part of the park where horses used to be held.
