Dolina Środkowej Wisły between Puławy and Gołąb attracts many species of birds. This is quite a specific area. On one side there is a sewage treatment plant and a garbage dump, on the other side is the Vistula River. Despite many disadvantages, the landfill has its advantages - numerous species of seagulls and corvids, including Grand Corbeau, feed there. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to visit a place more than once. There are days when birds feed in large numbers, and there are days when there are few birds.
The numerous sandbanks are nesting places for Goéland cendré, Sterne naine and Sterne pierregarin. The area is an important resting place, among others, for Héron cendré and Cigogne noire. Among the other birds you can find in the area are Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Canard chipeau, Fuligule morillon, Fuligule milouinan, Harle piette, Bergeronnette des ruisseaux, Mésange à longue queue, Sittelle torchepot, Sarcelle d'hiver, Harle bièvre, Grand Cormoran, Héron cendré, Grande Aigrette, Goéland pontique, Épervier d'Europe, Buse variable, Busard des roseaux, Rougequeue noir and Perdrix grise.

Polski: To miejsce przyciąga bardzo wiele gatunków ptaków. To dość specyficzny teren: z jednej stronny mamy oczyszczalnię ścieków i wysypisko śmieci, z drugiej strony Wisłę. Wysypisko śmieci mimo swoich wad, ma swoje zalety: żerują tam liczne gatunki mew i krukowate, z krukiem na czele. Niestety bywa, że to miejsce należy odwiedzić więcej niż jeden raz. Są dni, kiedy ptaki licznie żerują, są dni, kiedy ich nie widać. Liczne łachy piasku na rzece są miejscami gniazdowania Goéland cendré, Sterne pierregarin, Sterne naine. Okolica jest ważnym miejscem odpoczynku m.in Héron cendré i Cigogne noire.

The area can be reached along the Vistula River from Puławy or Dęblin. Convenient parking spaces are marked on the map with the letter P. You can get there by train. In this case, you should get off at the Puławy Azoty station and then get there on foot (about 30 minutes' walk).

Polski: Do miejsca obserwacji można dojechać wzdłuż Wisły od strony miejscowości Puławy lub Dęblin. Dogodne miejsca parkingowe zaznaczono na mapie literą P. Istnieje możliwość dotarcia pociągiem. W takim przypadku należy wysiąść na stacji Puławy Azoty, a następnie dotrzeć na miejsce pieszo (około 30 minut marszu).
