The Zeedijk in Westkapelle is a strategic place to watch seabirds. Thousands of birds pass here during the autumn bird migration. In addition to a telescope, a strong, sustained southwest wind is a requirement to see many birds. Wind force 3 to 6 is necessary to blow the birds close enough to the coast. Birds that you can then see from the Zeedijk include Fou de Bassan, Puffin fuligineux, Macreuse noire, Labbe pomarin, Labbe parasite, Guillemot de Troïl, Sterne caugek and Plongeon catmarin.

Nederlands: De Zeedijk in Westkapelle is een mooie en strategische plek om zeevogels te zien. Het is het meest westelijke punt van Nederland en is een van de meest fameuze vogeltrekpunten in Nederland en een populair trektelpunt. Tijdens de najaarsvogeltrek komen hier duizenden vogels langs. Behalve een telescoop is een stevige aanhoudende zuidwesten wind een vereiste om veel vogels te zien. Windkracht 3 tot 6 is noodzakelijk om de vogels dicht genoeg naar de kust te blazen. Vogels die je dan vanaf de Zeedijk kunt zien zijn onder meer Fou de Bassan, Puffin fuligineux, Macreuse noire, Labbe pomarin, Labbe parasite, Guillemot de Troïl, Sterne caugek en Plongeon catmarin.

The Zeedijk runs from the Zuiderhoofd northwards towards Domburg. Seabirds are most common during or after a strong westerly storm, especially in the months of August through November. The best places are 't Kiekuus on the dike and behind the dike pavilion De Westkaap. The Zeedijk is very accessible. Birds can be seen even from the car.

Nederlands: De Zeedijk loopt van het Zuiderhoofd noordelijk richting Domburg. Zeevogels zijn het meest algemeen tijdens of na een harde westerstorm en dan met name in de maanden augustus tot en met november. De beste plekken zijn´t Kiekuus op de dijk en achter het dijkpaviljoen De Westkaap. De Zeedijk is zeer toegankelijk. Zelfs vanuit de auto kunnen vogels gezien worden.
