The Yperenplas (also called Wilpse Plas) is an easy accessible birding place near the city of Deventer. It offers a wide view on the typical IJssel valley, with a good chance of special species on the lake and in the surroundings. Among the birds you can see here are Oie cendrée, Balbuzard pêcheur, Traquet motteux, Goéland cendré, Canard souchet, Canard chipeau, Canard siffleur, Spatule blanche, Mouette rieuse, Bernache nonnette and Faucon crécerelle. Rarities that have been seen here are Fuligule nyroca, Plongeon catmarin and Échasse blanche.

Het biedt een weids uitzicht over de typische IJsselvallei, met een goede kans op bijzondere soorten op het meer en in de omgeving.
