The Wasven is a beautiful wooded area with an open character. Many different types of vegetation and densities. Lots of opportunity to see all kinds of birds. Among the birds you can see here are Chouette hulotte, Gros-bec casse-noyaux, Roitelet huppé and Bouvreuil pivoine. And of course other forest birds like woodpeckers and tits.

Nederlands: Het Wasven is een mooi bosrijk wandelgebied net buiten het centrum van Eindhoven. Met een mooie oude boerderij met terras, winkel en eetgelegenheid. Een erg bosrijk gebied met een mooi open karakter. Veel verschillende soorten begroeiing en dichtheden. Veel kans voor allerlei soorten vogels. Zie de vogellijst beneden.

By public transport (from Eindhoven central station) line 6 direction Nuenen (7 minutes) get off at the Van Oldenbarneveltlaan stop. By car you can park at the farm. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the farm you can make a nice walk of about 3 km through the area.

Nederlands: Met het OV (vanaf centraal station Eindhoven) lijn 6 richting Nuenen (7 minuten) uitstappen bij halte Van Oldenbarneveltlaan. Met de auto kun je parkeren bij de boederij. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Vanaf de boerderij kun je een mooie rondwandeling van zo'n 3 km door het gebied maken.
