Wetland in the dunes between West aan Zee and Midsland aan Zee on the island of Terschelling. Groups of gulls and Spatule blanche can often be seen.

Description

De Stenneplak is a dune wetland. A dune lake surrounded by open sandy areas where birds like to rest. Birds that you can see here are Oie cendrée, Canard souchet, Canard chipeau, Grand Cormoran, Goéland brun, Goéland argenté, Vanneau huppé, Chevalier aboyeur and Chevalier gambette. Sometimes large groups of Spatule blanche rest here.

Nederlands: De Stenneplak is een duinplas met erom heen open zanderige stukken waar vogels graag rusten. Vogels die je hier kunt zien zijn Oie cendrée, Canard souchet, Canard chipeau, Grand Cormoran, Goéland brun, Goéland argenté, Vanneau huppé, Chevalier aboyeur en Chevalier gambette. Soms rusten er grote groepen Spatule blanche.

Accès

Easy to reach by bike from Midsland, Midsland aan Zee or West aan Zee. The area itself is not accessible, but you can easily overlook Stenneplak from the bike path.

Nederlands: Gemakkelijk te bereiken per fiets vanaf Midsland, Midsland aan Zee of West aan Zee. Het gebied zelf is niet toegankelijk, maar prima te overzien vanaf het fietspad.
