De Sliedrechtse Biesbosch forms the most northerly part of the National Park De Biesbosch. Much of the Biesbosch is covered by water and is therefore lush with sedges and reed beds. Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Bouscarle de Cetti and Gorgebleue à miroir are important nesting birds. You can also come across Aigrette garzette nearly everywhere. Incredible diversity and amount of birds. Note that the walking route that is indicated on the map is only accessible by boat.

Nederlands: De Sliedrechtse Biesbosch vormt het meest noordelijke deel van het Nationaal Park De Biesbosch. Een groot deel van de Biesbosch staat onder water en is daardoor weelderig begroeid met zegge en rietvelden. Een prachtig waterrijk vogelgebied met een ongelooflijke diversiteit en hoeveelheid vogels. Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Bouscarle de Cetti en Gorgebleue à miroir zijn belangrijke broedvogels. Ook kun je Aigrette garzette bijna overal tegenkomen. Let op: de wandelroute die op de kaart staat aangegeven is alleen per boot bereikbaar. Een boot huren kan bij het bezoekerscentrum.

From A15 – exit 23 or A16 exit 20, N3 (Randweg) then exit Hollandse Biesbosch for Biesboschcentrum Dordrecht (visitor center). Click on the P in the map for directions. The area can only be explored by water and the walking trail can also only be reached with a boat. The jetty is indicated with a star symbol. You can rent a boat at Biesboschcentrum Dordrecht.
