Rijkelse Bemden is a nice area to stroll around. Lots of ducks and waders around the pond. On the north side of the area you will find dense shrubs that are full of shrub birds in the summer. Interesting area all year round, but watch out at high river tide.

Nederlands: Rijkelse Bemden is een mooi stukje riviernatuur langs de Maas met hagen, plassen en laag-dynamisch moeras. Mooi gebied om rond te struinen. Rondom de plas veel eenden en steltlopers. Aan de noordzijde van gebied is dicht struweel te vinden dat 's zomers vol zit met struweelvogels. Jaarrond interessant gebied, maar pas op bij hoogwater.

You can park on the north side at the Grauwe Beer, or on the south side in the parking lot towards the bicycle ferry. Click on a P in the map for directions. You can freely roam the area, and there is a nice bird watching spot on the Kerkweg. The northern part is difficult to combine in one trip with the southern part.

Nederlands: Parkeren kan aan de noordzijde bij de Grauwe Beer, of aan de zuidzijde op de parkeerplaats richting het fietspontje. Klik op een P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Je kunt vrij struinen door het gebied, en er is een mooie vogelskijkplaats aan de Kerkweg. Het noordelijke deel is lastig te combineren in één tocht met het zuidelijke deel.
