Wijnaerden is a quite large area along the river Maas between the Dutch villages Neer and Buggenum. There is a lot of water in the area, but there are also grasslands, fields, forests and shrubs. Nederlands: Wijnaerden is een redelijk groot gebied langs de rivier de Maas bij de Limburgse kerkdorpen Neer en Buggenum. Er is veel water in het gebied maar er zijn ook veel graslanden, velden, bossen en struiken. Je hebt vanuit het gebied een fraai uitzicht op omliggende dorpen. Je hebt er van alles! En je kunt er vrijwel elk seizoen komen, met in ieder seizoen wel een paar leuke soorten. Wat het gebied zo leuk maakt is het feit dat het gebied ook vaak bijzondere soorten en dwaalgasten aantrekt! Wijnaerden is located at the river Maas directly south of the village of Neer and north of the village of Buggenum. You can get there by bike, car and on foot, but not by train or bus. You can park your car on the side of the road, somewhere in one of the villages or in another place. You can explore the area on foot, but you can also go from place to place by car or bike. The best time to visit the area is in spring or summer, but you can see birds all year round. It is also worth visiting the beautiful villages of Neer and Buggenum itself.

Nederlands: Wijnaerden ligt bij de rivier de Maas direct ten zuiden van het dorp Neer en ten noorden van het dorp Buggenum. Je kunt er met de fiets, de auto en te voet komen maar niet met de trein of bus. Er loopt een zandweg vanuit Buggenum naar het gebied en een verharde weg vanuit Neer. Je kunt je auto in de berm parkeren, ergens in een van de dorpen of op een overige plek. Je kunt het gebied te voet verkennen, maar je kan ook met de auto of fiets van plek naar plek. Het mooiste is om in de lente of zomer naar het gebied te gaan, maar je kunt er het hele jaar vogels zien. Het is overigens de moeite waard de mooie dorpen Neer en Buggenum zelf ook te bezoeken.
