The location on a lateral moraine ('Stuwwal') makes Duno special. Crossed with streams, it is unique in high-low, wet-dry contrasts. Landgoed Duno is a very varied area with occasionally open spaces in the forest. Besides the birds it is a beautiful area to walk. Among the birds you can see in the forest are Sittelle torchepot, Chouette hulotte, Pic épeiche, Pic mar, Gros-bec casse-noyaux, Grimpereau des jardins and Grand Corbeau.

Nederlands: De ligging van Landgoed Duno is fantastisch met een spectaculair uitzicht op de Nederrijn. Het heeft een prachtig bos met een verscheidenheid aan bosvogels. De ligging op een stuwwal maakt Duno bijzonder. Doorkruist met beekjes, is het uniek in hoog-laag, nat-droog contrasten. Landgoed Duno is een zeer afwisselend gebied met af en toe open plekken in het bos. Behalve de vogels is het een prachtig gebied om te wandelen. Onder de vogels die je in het bos kunt zien zijn Sittelle torchepot, Chouette hulotte, Pic épeiche, Pic mar, Gros-bec casse-noyaux, Grimpereau des jardins en Grand Corbeau.

It is best to park in the Dunolaan (click on the P in the map to go there directly). At the parking a forest path enters the Estate. It is best to explore the area on foot. You can follow the route that is shown on the map (4 km). Or follow the red marker route of about 5 km (which starts at Castle Doorwerth at Fonteinallee 2b in Doorwerth) and runs through the estate.

Nederlands: Beste plek om te parkeren is de Dunolaan (klik op de P in de kaart om er direct heen te gaan). Je kunt de omgeving het beste te voet verkennen. Je kunt de route volgen die op de kaart wordt weergegeven (4 km). Of volg de rode route door het gebied aangegeven met rode paaltjes. Als je een iets langere wandeling wilt maken kun je de rode wandeling ook verlengen en doorlopen naar kasteel Doorwerth. Daar kun je de wandeling eventueel ook starten (Fonteinallee 2b in Doorwerth).
