This river basin of the Oude Rijn (Old Rhine) consists from a number of ponds, reed land, thickets, a piece of the Old Rhine and mud flats. The Jezuïtenwaai is very popular among birdwatchers because there are many different birds to see. A small part of the Jezuïtenwaai is accessible.
Nice birds you can see here are Spatule blanche, Cigogne blanche, Guifette noire, Aigrette garzette and Butor étoilé.
