The Hooge Hof is a former agricultural polder that has been transformed into a wetland with many mud flats teeming with birds. Sometimes the view is limited because the view is overgrown with willows, but there are more than enough places where you have an unobstructed view, sometimes even very close. The willow forest on the Deeneplaat has a very different character, but also wonderful to walk through, with many songbirds and you also pass the Zwarte Keet, a restored old house. From the old pumping station of Hooge Hof you can take a nice 5 km long walk in this beautiful corner of the Biesbosch. Birds you may encounter along the way are Tadorne de Belon, Sarcelle d'été, Gorgebleue à miroir, Rossignol philomèle, Bouscarle de Cetti, Bruant des roseaux, Râle d'eau, Chevalier aboyeur, Spatule blanche, Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Balbuzard pêcheur, Pygargue à queue blanche and Busard des roseaux. In winter there are still many birds to see in this area and you can see birds like Busard Saint-Martin, Garrot à oeil d'or, Harle piette, Harle bièvre, Pipit spioncelle and Pie-grièche grise.

Nederlands: De Hooge Hof en de aangrenzende Deeneplaat liggen in een afgelegen hoek van de Biesbosch, maar zijn een aanrader voor een mooie vogelwandeling. De Hooge Hof is een voormalige polder die is omgevormd tot een wetland met veel slikplaten waar het wemelt van de vogels. Soms wordt het zicht beperkt doordat het uitzicht is dichtgegroeid met wilgen, maar er zijn meer dan genoeg plekken waar je vrij uitzicht hebt, soms zelfs van heel dichtbij. Het wilgenbos op de Deeneplaat is heel anders van karakter, het is een voormalige griend in de Biesbosch, maar ook prachtig om doorheen te wandelen, met veel zangvogels en je passeert ook de Zwarte Keet, een gerestaureerd griendwerkershuisje. Vanaf het oude gemaal van Hooge Hof kun je een mooie rondwandeling maken in deze fraaie uithoek van de Biesbosch. Vogels die je onderweg kunt tegenkomen zijn Tadorne de Belon, Sarcelle d'été, Gorgebleue à miroir, Rossignol philomèle, Bouscarle de Cetti, Bruant des roseaux, Râle d'eau, Chevalier aboyeur, Spatule blanche, Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Balbuzard pêcheur, Pygargue à queue blanche en Busard des roseaux. The starting point of the walk is at a small parking lot at a pumping station along the Deeneplaatweg, more than 3 km past the Spieringsluis. It cannot be reached by public transport, but can be reached by bicycle. If it has rained a lot, the area and the trails can be quite boggy. Then make sure you have good waterproof footwear.

Nederlands: Startpunt van de wandeling is bij een klein parkeerplaatsje bij een gemaal langs de Deeneplaatweg, ruim 3 km voorbij de Spieringsluis. Het is niet met openbaar vervoer te bereiken, maar wel met de fiets. Als het veel heeft geregend kan het gebied behoorlijk drassig zijn. Zorg dan voor goed waterdicht schoeisel. De wandeling die is aangegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 5 km lang.
