Description
The Ermelosche Heide is a heathland area southeast of the town of Ermelo. It is a dry, open heathland, surrounded by deciduous forest, mixed forest and coniferous forest. It is a beautiful hilly heathland with the associated species. Because there is a lot of forest around it, you will also find many bird species from transition areas and forest birds. Birds you may see in the area include Buse variable, Autour des palombes, Tarier pâtre, Coucou gris, Alouette des champs, Alouette lulu, Pie-grièche grise (winter), Grand Corbeau, Bruant jaune and Engoulevent d'Europe.

Nederlands: De Ermelosche Heide is een heidegebied ten zuidoosten van Ermelo. Het is een droge, open heide, omgeven door loofbos, gemengd bos en naaldbos. Het is een mooi heuvelachtig heideterrein met de daarbij horende soorten. De heide wordt het hele jaar begraasd door een schaapskudde. Omdat er veel bos omheen ligt, tref je hier ook veel vogelsoorten van overgangsgebieden en bosvogels. Vogels die je in het gebied kan zien zijn onder meer Buse variable, Autour des palombes, Tarier pâtre, Coucou gris, Alouette des champs, Alouette lulu, Pie-grièche grise (winter), Grand Corbeau, Bruant jaune en Engoulevent d'Europe.

Multiple parking facilities. For example, you can park at the sheepfold, but there are also small parking spaces around the heathland where the car can be parked. Click on the P in the map for directions. The site is crossed by cycling, walking and riding trails. The circular walk marked on the map is approximately 5 km long.

Nederlands: Meerdere parkeergelegenheden. Zo kun je bij de schaapskooi parkeren maar rondom het heideterrein zijn ook kleine parkeerplekken waar de auto neergezet kan worden. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Het terrein wordt doorkruist door fiets-, wandel- en ruiterpaden. De rondwandeling die is aangegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 5 km lang.
