Along the river Worm you will find the Cincle plongeur, Bergeronnette des ruisseaux and Martin-pêcheur d'Europe and in the old dead trees you have a chance of the Pic épeichette. There is a chance of wading birds in the migratory period on several stretches of the river. Birds such as the Chevalier guignette and Chevalier culblanc. Different duck species can be seen all year round on the ponds and large puddles next to or in the river Worm. In the open areas where Scottish Highlanders graze you can hear and see birds such as the Bouvreuil pivoine , Chardonneret élégant and Tarin des aulnes.

Nederlands: Het riviertje de Worm meandert prachtig door bos op de grens van Nederland en Duitsland. Hier vind je langs het water de Cincle plongeur, Martin-pêcheur d'Europe en Bergeronnette des ruisseaux en in de oude dode bomen heb je kans op de Pic épeichette. Op verschillende stukken is er een kans op waadvogels in de trekperiode, zoals de Chevalier guignette en Chevalier culblanc. Verschillende eendensoorten laten zich het hele jaar door goed zien op de vijvers en grote plassen naast of in de Worm. Op de open stukken waar Schotse Hooglanders grazen kun je vogels horen en zien zoals de Bouvreuil pivoine , Chardonneret élégant en Tarin des aulnes.

The area lies on the border of Germany and the Netherlands and is best explored on foot. A circular walk of 4 km is indicated on the map. Parking is possible on both the German and the Dutch side. Click on a P in the map for directions to the car park of your choice.
