Against the Buurserzand, a heathland area with a lot of juniper, there is a former meadow area that has been turned into a herb-rich pasture. The lake attracts many birds, especially in the spring. You can also regularly see deer early in the morning and at night. The viewing spot is located on a hill shaped like a Parnassia flower. Among the birds you can see are Héron cendré, Grande Aigrette, Sarcelle d'été, Busard des roseaux and Bécassine des marais.

Nederlands: Tegen het Buurserzand, een heidegebied met veel jeneverbes, ligt een voormalig weide gebied dat is verschraald tot kruidenrijk weiland. Een meertje trekt veel vogels met name in het voorjaar. Ook kun je er 's ochtends vroeg en tegen de avond regelmatig reeën zien. De kijkplek ligt op een heuvel die de vorm heeft van een Parnassiabloem.

The area is easily accessible by car. Of course cycling / walking is also possible. There is a parking lot called "Rietschot" and from that parking lot it is about a five minute walk to the viewing hill.

Nederlands: Het gebied is per auto goed te bereiken. Natuurlijk is ook fietsen/wandelen mogelijk. Er is een parkeerplaats met de naam "Rietschot" en vanaf die parkeerplaats is het ongeveer vijf minuten lopen naar de uitzichtheuvel.
