The Buntven is a fen with heath around it and from the fen you can walk different routes through the surrounding forest. Birds you can encounter here are Grèbe castagneux, Pic épeiche, Sittelle torchepot, Mésange huppée, Mésange bleue, Mésange charbonnière, Roitelet huppé, Épervier d'Europe, Choucas des tours, Pigeon ramier en Buse variable.

Nederlands: Het Buntven is een ven met heide eromheen en vanuit het ven kun je door de omliggende bossen van het Zandbos verschillende routes te lopen. Een heerlijke wandelplek waar je verschillende soorten vogels kunt vinden. The nature reserve is located between Helmond and Deurne. You can park near the area. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking lot. The Buntven and surroundings are best explored on foot. On the map you see a circular walk from the parking lot (about 2.2 km). But you can easily extend this by exploring the forest trails north and east of the Buntven.

Nederlands: Het natuurgebied ligt tussen Helmond en Deurne. Je kunt vlakbij het gebied parkeren via een ventweg. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. Het Buntven en omgeving kun je het beste te voet verkennen. Op de kaart zie je een rondwandeling vanaf de parkeerplaats (ongeveer 2,2 km). Maar je kunt dit heel gemakkelijk verlengen door de bospaden ten noorden en ten oosten van het Buntven te verkennen.
