Beekhuizen is a former estate that consists of varied and hilly deciduous and coniferous forests with many beech avenues, a moor and some agricultural land. In the middle of the estate, just within the Veluwezoom National Park, lies the park-like valley of the stream Beekhuizensebeek with springs, waterfalls and ponds. In the forest area many woodpecker species can be seen and Autour des palombes can be heard. In the pond Canard colvert, Fuligule morillon, Grèbe castagneux, Gallinule poule-d'eau and Foulque macroule.

Nederlands: Beekhuizen is een mooi wandelgebied met bos, heide en een grote vijver. Het is een voormalig landgoed dat bestaat uit gevarieerde en heuvelachtige loof- en naaldbossen met veel beukenlanen, een heideveldje en wat landbouwgrond. In het midden van het landgoed, net binnen het Nationaal Park Veluwezoom, ligt het parkachtig aandoende dal van de Beekhuizensebeek met sprengen, watervallen en vijvers. In het bosgedeelte zijn veel spechtensoorten te zien en havik te horen. In de vijver wilde eenden, kuifeenden, dodaars, waterhoen en meerkoet.
