From bird hide Gerrits Hutte you have a beautiful view over the stream valley of the Linde. For that reason alone, a visit to this location is worthwhile. For the real bird watcher, the Gerrrits Hutte is not so interesting. Large groups of birds are rare and the number of species is not spectacular. Birds of prey such as Buse variable and Faucon crécerelle, and to a lesser extent Autour des palombes and Épervier d'Europe can be seen. But also songbirds such as Chardonneret élégant, Verdier d'Europe, Pinson des arbres and Linotte mélodieuse reside in the bushes.

Nederlands: Besloten beekdallandschap met zicht op de Linde en de daarbij behorende extensie in gebruik zijn de graslanden en elzensingels. Vanuit de Gerrits Hutte heeft men een fraai uitzicht over het beekdal van de Linde. Alleen daarom al is een bezoek aan deze locatie de moeite waard.Voor de echte vogelaar is de Gerrrits Hutte niet zo interessant. Grote groepen vogels komen er zelden voor en ook het aantal soorten is niet spectaculair. Roofvogels als buizerd en torenvalk, en in mindere mate havik en sperwer laten zich er wel zien. Maar ook zangvogels als putter, groenling, vink en kneu zitten in de bosjes.
