Badhuiskuil in Midsland aan Zee is a lake in the dunes. The winning of sand made a big hole that subsequently submerged and attracts birds.

Description

Badhuiskuil is a good place to observe breeding gulls. You see a lot of Goéland argenté nesting in the dunes and Goéland marin bathing in the lake. There are always Oie cendrée swimming in the lake. And plenty of other birds can fly by here. Good place also for Chevalier guignette, Chevalier culblanc, Chevalier sylvain and Chevalier aboyeur during migration.

Nederlands: De Badhuiskuil is een meer in de duinen: door het winnen van zand is een groot gat ontstaan dat vervolgens onder water kwam te staan. Dit is een goede plek om broedende meeuwen te observeren. Je ziet veel Goéland argenté nestelen in de duinen en Goéland marin baden in het meer. Er zwemmen vrijwel altijd Oie cendrée in het meer. En er kunnen hier nog tal van andere vogels voorbij vliegen. Goede plek ook voor Chevalier guignette, Chevalier culblanc, Chevalier sylvain en Chevalier aboyeur tijdens de vogeltrek.

Badhuiskuil is located at Badweg in Midsland aan Zee. The viewpoint is directly beside the road and accessible by bike.
