Amelisweerd is a riverine forest in a bend of the Kromme Rijn, a stone's throw from the city of Utrecht. You can enjoy beautiful walks in the old forest of Amelisweerd and the adjacent Rhijnauwen estate. Birds you can see in this area include Gobemouche gris, Pic épeiche, Pic mar, Pic vert, Sittelle torchepot, Gros-bec casse-noyaux, Mésange nonnette, Autour des palombes, Épervier d'Europe, Chardonneret élégant, Tarin des aulnes and Perruche à collier.

Nederlands: Amelisweerd is een rivierbos in een bocht van de Kromme Rijn op steenworp afstand van Utrecht. Je kan prachtig wandelen in het oude bos van landgoed Amelisweerd en het naastgelegen landgoed Rhijnauwen. The area is easily accessible by bicycle or public transport from Utrecht. For those arriving by car, there are two large parking spaces on the edge of the area. Click on a P in the map to go to the parking lot of your choice. The circular walk marked on the map is approximately 6 km long.
