Description
The Rusen ponds cover a large area of reedbeds, open and closed ponds and Salix bushes and trees. In the main pond (nr 1) a colony of Mouette rieuse also harbouring Guifette noire , along with them Guifette moustac, Guifette leucoptère and Sterne caspienne can be seen.
Also living in the ponds Grèbe castagneux and Grèbe à cou noir together with a good variety of ducks such as Canard souchet and Sarcelle d'été. From the reedbeds Butor étoilé, Locustelle luscinioïde and Rousserolle turdoïde can be heard together with Panure à moustaches and Rémiz penduline.
You move through the area on top of the banks and there are a good number of roads to explore the site.
