Description
Valle Mandriole, also called Valle della Canna, covers an area of about 260 hectares. The vast reeds of the site are home to numerous nesting birds. Different species of birds can be observed: Héron cendré, Héron pourpré, Grande Aigrette, Héron garde-boeufs, Aigrette garzette, Crabier chevelu, Bihoreau gris, Ibis falcinelle, Ibis sacré, Flamant rose, Spatule blanche, Échasse blanche and many species of ducks.

Italiano: È una Valle che fa parte del Parco Regionale del Delta del Po ed è alimentata dalle acque del fiume Reno. Vi si trovano due grandi torri di avvistamento. Si possono osservare diverse specie di uccelli: airone cenerino, airone rosso, airone bianco maggiore, airone guardabuoi, garzetta, sgarza ciuffetto, nitticora, ibis mignattaio, ibis eremita, Fenicottero rosa, spatola, cavaliere d'italia e tante specie di anatidi

Accès
It is located along the Romea state road towards Comacchio. One of the observation towers, clearly visible from the Romea state road, is located under the bank of the Lamone river and has a small parking (see the map). The second, about 2 km further north with a small parking lot attached at the Ca' del Chiavichino (not visible from the road), can also be reached with a nice walk (800 meter) from the parking at Tenuta Augusta (see the map). Access to the area is free from dawn to dusk.

Italiano: Si trova lungo la statale romea in direzione Comacchio. Una di queste torri, ben visibile dalla statale Romea, è posta sotto l’argine del fiume Lamone; la seconda, circa 2 km più a nord con piccolo parcheggio annesso presso la Ca’ del Chiavichino (non visibile dalla strada), è raggiungibile anche dalla tenuta Augusta.
