Description
San Domino is the biggest and most wooded island of the Isole Tremiti. But it is still a small island of only 2.6 km long and 1.7 km wide. The island has pine forest, cliffs, rocks and beaches. During migration the island is a stop and passage place for Siberian and European bird species. Best times are October-November and April-May. Puffin de Scopoli and Puffin yelkouan arrive on the cliffs of San Domino in spring to nest.

Italiano: Unico arcipelago in Adriatico per l'Italia, molto simile alle isole croate. San Domino è la più boscata con pineta d'Aleppo ed altre essenze mediterranee. Sosta e passaggio di specie siberiane ed europee. Valido in ottobre-novembre ed in aprile-maggio.

You arrive by ferry from Termoli, it is not advisable to bring your car. The island can be explored very well on foot.
