Oasi WWF Forte dei Marmi is a small dune area that is just over 3 hectares. A small piece of intact dune landscape in urbanised surroundings. Inside there is a small botanical garden of species of the Mediterranean scrub, which were planted by the University of Bologna in the 70s. Birds you can observe in the area are Fauvette mélanocéphale, Bruant zizi, Fauvette à tête noire, Chardonneret élégant and on the sea wintering or migrating seabirds like Grèbe jougris, Sterne caugek and Macreuse noire.

It is located on the seafront between Forte dei Marmi (LU) and the Cinquale di Montignoso (MS), precisely in the hamlet of Vittoria Apuana, not far from the mouth of the Versilia river and Lake Porta. It can be reached by private or public transport: by bus in the Forte dei Marmi-Marina di Massa line by train to the Forte dei Marmi station and by urban transport to the locality Vittoria Apuana. Park on the street and enter the dunes directly.

Si può raggiungere con mezzi privati o pubblici: con l’autobus nella linea Forte dei Marmi-Marina di Massa in treno alla stazione di Forte dei Marmi e con mezzi urbani sino alla località Vittoria Apuana. Si parcheggia in strada e si accede direttamente alle dune.
