Oasi WWF Cronovilla extends 60 hectares along the left bank of the Enza river. The lakes are artificial and the result of many years of gravel extraction. After naturalistic restoration and the creation of nature trails and observation hides, the area is now a nice place for birding. Cronovilla is a wetland rich in aquatic vegetation and birds. Around the pools, the natural environments typical of rivers have been preserved, such as riparian forests, shrubs, and arid grasslands. The area is very quiet. Sometimes rarities show up. Among the birds you can see are Héron pourpré, Crabier chevelu, Grande Aigrette, Aigrette garzette, Grèbe huppé, Grèbe castagneux, Grand Cormoran, Bihoreau gris, Guêpier d'Europe, Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Héron cendré and Échasse blanche.

L’Area naturalistica di Cronovilla si estende per circa 60 ettari lungo la sponda sinistra del Torrente Enza, nel Comune di Traversetolo (PR). I laghi presenti in questa zona sono artificiali, e sono il risultato di molti anni di estrazione di ghiaia dal sottosuolo. Dopo importanti interventi di ripristino naturalistico (sagomatura delle vasche, creazione di percorsi naturalistici, costruzione di capanni d’osservazione), a Cronovilla troviamo diverse zone umide, ricche di vegetazione acquatica e animali, soprattutto uccelli. Attorno alle vasche sono stati preservati gli ambienti naturali tipici dei fiumi, come i boschi ripariali, gli arbusteti, e le praterie aride. Ad oggi, a Cronovilla sono state censite ben 188 specie di uccelli. Molto tranquillo, poco frequentato (può essere anche un lato negativo perché è poco curato), possono capitare delle rarità.

Located on the road from Traversetolo to S. Polo. In Vignale, turn left at the traffic lights and follow the directions. It can be reached via about 2 km of unpaved road. The last section inside the oasis of another 800 m is to be done on foot on. It can also be reached by wheelchair but the barrier must be opened. Free access, no services on site.
