Oasi il Picchio Verde is an example of restoration of biodiversity on the banks of the Brembo river. Access to Oasi il Picchio Verde is only possible during scheduled openings, during which guided tours of the area are organised. See for more info the Facebook page (link below). However, there is a freely accessible viewpoint at the edge of the fenced area where it is possible to watch birds.

Oasi il Picchio Verde is located in the municipality of Dalmine. You can get to the wetland on foot after parking the car at the "De Amicis" primary school in Via XXV Aprile, Dalmine. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking spot. From the parking it is about a 1 km walk to the wetland.
