Foce del Tresa is the mouth of the Tresa River, where it flows into Lake Maggiore near Germignaga and Luino. At its mouth, the river creates an environment of sandbars, small islands, and gravel strips that appear and disappear depending on the season and the flow of water. Foce del Tresa is considered a key ecological corridor within the Lake Maggiore basin. It provides resting and feeding grounds for numerous bird species, including herons, ducks, and migratory waders.

Foce del Tresa is located in Germignaga. You can park (paid) near the waterfront. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From there you can explore the area on foot.
Note: on warm weekends, the sandy stretches can turn into an informal beach for swimmers and sunbathers.
