Capo d'Otranto has easy access, thanks to the small lake of the former bauxite quarry. This is an excellent observation point for the spring migration of numerous species of birds. Among the birds you can encounter are Pluvier guignard, Glaréole à collier, Goéland d'Audouin, Busard pâle, Busard des roseaux, Buse féroce, Hirondelle rousseline and Fauvette de Rüppell.

You park near the bauxite lake and follow the various paths that go towards the sea. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 3 km long.
