The Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is a protected natural area covering 73 hectares and comprising a system of typical wetland habitats (cladiets, peat bogs, wet meadows, brome meadows, and wooded areas). The flora and fauna are very rich. The site is of significant ornithological interest due to the presence of important species, including various herons, such as the Héron pourpré, the Blongios nain (also a nesting species), the Bihoreau gris, the Butor étoilé, the Grande Aigrette, and the Aigrette garzette. Birds of prey include the Busard Saint-Martin and Busard cendré (which nest in the area), the Busard des roseaux, and others. Spring is ideal for observing migratory and nesting species.

Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is located 25 km southwest of Udine, close to the village of Flambro. The area features a 2,5 km circular trail with walkways and observation points. Parking is available on the road near the Mulino Braida. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.
