The Vadkerti Lake has water with medicinal properties and due to its shallow waters it is popular with bathers. So the west side of the lake is very touristy and busy. For birders the east side of the lake is much more interesting which is full of reedbeds and a wetland where many birds can be seen. The east side of the lake is a world of anglers, bird watchers and tranquility lovers. In the mixed forest, which consists mainly of poplar trees, there are a few farms. There is a nature trails along the east shore and a big observation tower overlooking the area. During the winter, the lake's water freezes.

Easy accessible. A circular walk is possible, but the touristy parts of the lakeshore are less interesting. The lookout tower can be reached by a nature trail.
