Description
At the south of the Mytilini peninsula is Charamida (or Haramida) Marsh. Easy to get to, lots of birds can be found there. In spring it is sometimes difficult to view the pools due to the tall reeds. In autumn the site is dry but still attracts many migrants and Fauvette mélanocéphale occurs here year-round. Other birds you van observe in the area include Hirondelle de rochers, Gobemouche gris, Pie-grièche masquée, Rougequeue noir, Tarier pâtre, Faucon pèlerin, Ibis falcinelle, Échasse blanche, Traquet motteux, Fuligule nyroca, Sarcelle d'été, Torcol fourmilier, Perdrix choukar, Hypolaïs pâle and Bruant cendrillard.
