Sporthafen Lörick is an open area along the river with scattered deciduous trees and some deadwood. The Rhine flows on one side, a small lake and a marina on the other. The area is a flood zone, the water level varies depending on the season. Birds you can observe include Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Grèbe huppé, Grèbe castagneux, Harle bièvre, Sarcelle d'hiver, Pic épeiche, Chardonneret élégant, Mésange à longue queue, Buse variable, Faucon crécerelle, and Grand Cormoran.
