Description
Salzwiesen Bülk is an area of rewetted meadows. In the open area, hundreds of geese such as Oie cendrée, Bernache du Canada and ducks such as Canard chipeau, Canard souchet and Canard siffleur can be seen, especially during migration. There are also a variety of waders, such as Bécassine des marais and Pluvier doré.
The road and footpath lead directly past the area and offer good observation opportunities. At the end of the road is the Bülk lighthouse. Other waders can be seen on the beach, for example the Tournepierre à collier and Bécasseau violet. Rare, exceptional sightings are also possible, such as the Bergeronnette de Béringie, which is very rare in Germany.

The wet meadows of Salzwiesen Bülk are located between the village of Strande and the Bülk lighthouse. You can reach the area via the road that leads to the Bülk lighthouse or the footpath from Strande. Press P on the map for directions to a parking.
