Description
The area of Peitzer Teiche is very flat and the paths lead along little canals and through the reeds plus some fields and pine forest. It's home to Pygargue à queue blanche, Milan noir, differents warblers throughout the summer and lots of waterfowl in winter.

One can reach the area by train or bicycle. From the stop 'Teichland' (part of the Cottbus ABC ticket) one can follow the yellow signs of the ciruclar route of 7.5km. Cycling this route is also possible. One can also get there by car to 'Maustmühle' and has a paved road for wheelchair access (not the whole circular route).
A good time to see many birds is the time of draining and harvesting fish from ponds from the beginning to the end of October.
