Description
Hänge am Kraiberg is an area of neglected grassland with old common fruit trees. The fruit trees (mainly apple, prune and pear) are in part overaged or dead. In some areas traditional fruit trees have been replanted. Numerous hedges (whitethorn and blackthorn) and small clusters of forest trees are scattered in the area. An adjacent mixed woodland consisting of oaks and pines lies to the north of the nature reserve. A good place to listen and observe the red listed bird species Torcol fourmilier and Pipit des arbres.
