Description
Moosschwaige has surprisingly varied habitats. There are reedbeds (Rousserolle effarvatte, Rousserolle turdoïde), ponds and streams (Râle d'eau, Martin-pêcheur d'Europe) with attached wetland being actively maintained by beavers. There are also woods and grassland.
Star species are Hypolaïs ictérine, Pie-grièche écorcheur and Coucou gris in the summer, Pie-grièche grise in the winter, and woodpeckers all year round, including Pic épeichette , Pic cendré and Pic noir.
