Description
The Monrepossee and the surrounding area are ideal for a day trip and are easy to reach. Typical (common) water birds can be observed at the lake. The lake can be navigated by pedal boat and is therefore also a popular family destination. Typical birds are Canard colvert, Grand Cormoran, Bergeronnette grise, Héron cendré, Oie cendrée, Goéland leucophée, Ouette d'Égypte, Rossignol philomèle and Foulque macroule. In recent years, groups of Bihoreau gris have been gathering more frequently on the island with the chapel (Kapelleninsel) in the summer months.

The Monrepossee is easy accessible. From Stuttgart take the A81 motorway towards Heilbronn and exit at Ludwigsburg-Nord. Follow the signs to Monrepos. Train and bus: Take a train to Ludwigsburg station. Several bus lines connect Ludwigsburg station to Monrepos. By bike: Cycling: There are scenic cycling routes leading to Monrepos from Ludwigsburg.
The park is best explored on foot. Cars can be parked within walking distance. Press P on the map for directions to a parking.
