At Mittleres Wietingsmoor there is a narrow road between marsh and moors. During the autumn migration in the evening twilight a beautiful entry of the many Grue cendrée that settle with the many Oie cendrée and Oie rieuse. Halfway along the road is a reasonable parking space from where you can admire the spectacle at an appropriate distance. This place is a lot quieter than the more popular moors with the lookout towers. (they are also beautiful, but are visited quite a lot).

From Diepholtz direction Sulingen. At Freistatt turn left through the village onto the street Deckertau. There is a parking space halfway. To visit by bike and by car.
