Description
Grube Cox has mixed forest with lakes and ponds. Canard chipeau, Fuligule milouin and Grand Cormoran spend the winter on the lakes. Grive draine can be seen in the poplars on the edges of the lake. In the forest, with a bit of luck, there are Pic épeichette , Pic mar, Gros-bec casse-noyaux and Bouvreuil pivoine.
In winter Grive mauvis and Pinson du Nord can also be seen. At night you can see Bécasse des bois, hear Chouette hulotte call and very occasionally Grand-duc d'Europe. During migration I saw Balbuzard pêcheur hunt, but it is rare to observe them here. From a herpetological point of view, it is also worth a visit, as you can observe sand lizards, grass snakes and common midwife toad here.
