Brachfläche Gimmersdorf is a small area of extensively grazed meadows, where parts are left to natural development. Breeding birds include Pie-grièche écorcheur and Tarier pâtre. The shrub to the north is home to typical hedge breeders such as various warblers and Bruant jaune. The water bodies that were once created are only filled with water in years with sufficient rainfall. During migration many birds can be spotted, especially waders in the wettest parts. From the road you have a good overview. Among the birds you can encounter are Petit Gravelot, Faucon crécerelle, Fauvette grisette, Chevalier aboyeur, Bécassine des marais, Bécasseau variable, Combattant varié and Vanneau huppé.
