Description

Abtskücher Teich is a lake with surrounding bushes. The pond and stream provide a good environment for various waterfowl and water-loving birds. You can see Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Grand Cormoran, Héron cendré, Cygne tuberculé, Pic épeiche, Canard colvert and Foulque macroule. Also Nutrias live here. In the surrounding fields, you can also see Roitelet triple-bandeau, Roitelet huppé, Moineau domestique, Autour des palombes and Buse variable.

The Abtskücher Teich is located 3 km west of the town of Velbert. Parking lots are nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. There is a footpath around the pond (about 1 km).
