Along the river Ognon and the forest and lakes of Bonnal many bird species can be observed. Especially Guêpier d'Europe, Milan royal, Serin cini, Milan noir and Martin-pêcheur d'Europe. In summer it is also possible to see big groups of Cigogne blanche en Buse variable. The best way to see birds at the river L'Ognon is by canoe, you can see many groups of Guêpier d'Europe breeding. Other birds you can see in the area are Pic mar, Pic vert and Bondrée apivore.
