Etang David is a place filled with bush birds, especially in springtime: Fauvette à tête noire, Rossignol philomèle, Tourterelle des bois are easy to find, as well as Martin-pêcheur d'Europe and Nette rousse on the pond. Woodpeckers can be found on deciduous trees: Pic épeiche, Pic épeichette, Pic vert, Pic noir.
The place is also a nesting area for herons: Bihoreau gris, Héron cendré, Héron garde-boeufs can be spotted from the pond side.
Some raptors: Milan noir, Faucon hobereau and with chance Milan royal and Circaète Jean-le-Blanc are easy to spot hunting around.
Unusual birds like Rémiz penduline are possible during a walk across this picturesque little place.
