You can spot migrating species as well. Thanks to the close proximity of the sea it's possible to spot a wide variety of both local and migrating sea birds by the shore too: Cygne chanteur , Cygne tuberculé ,Harle bièvre , Harle huppé ,Fuligule morillon , Garrot à oeil d'or , Harelde boréale ,Eider à duvet , Canard colvert , Chevalier guignette , Bernache nonnette , Bernache du Canada and Héron cendré.

The Uutela communal gardens located at the heart of the park is also a great spot for seeing birds. (Check out the gardens' own page on Birdingplaces for more details!) There are three active bird feeding spots in the park during winter time. Some have bird food all year round but they're especially nice in winter. The more common Mésange charbonnière , Mésange bleue , Mésange noire , Moineau domestique and Moineau friquet are almost always present but if you're lucky you might spot Mésange huppée , Mésange boréale and Roitelet huppé on them too. Sittelle torchepot has been seen visiting one of the feeding spots during the summer too.

Roitelet huppé is a common even if sometimes hard to see species in the park all around the year. Merle noir can also be seen almost all year round. During the autumn migration seasons it's also possible to see Jaseur boréal too.

Accès

There are two parking places in the area. The park is best explored by walking. It is also possible to cycle in the forest. The main paths are wide and maintained and are therefore suitable for wheelchair users as well. Please be mindful of where you walk and cycle, though, as there are nature reserve areas that should be protected.
