Kallahdenniemen Uimaranta: the beach is a great place to watch birds during migration seasons as many species stop to rest and feed near the shore. Migrating waders are among the most interesting birds to see on the beach and it's possible to see a lot of rarer species if one is lucky. Huîtrier pie and Chevalier guignette are a pretty common sight by the beach and it's possible to spot waders like Bécasseau variable , Chevalier sylvain , Bécasseau cocorli ,Chevalier aboyeur , Grand Gravelot , Petit Gravelot , Bécasseau de Temminck , Combattant varié , Courlis corlieu , Barge rousse and Chevalier arlequin. Some lucky birders have even spotted Avocette élégante here.
Goéland cendré , Mouette rieuse , Goéland argenté , Goéland brun , Sterne pierregarin , Sterne arctique and Sterne caspienne are regular birds by the beach. Harle bièvre , Harle huppé , Cygne tuberculé ,Canard colvert , Garrot à oeil d'or , Fuligule morillon and Bernache du Canada are also common water fowl.
While waiting for waders to make an appearance it's also good to keep an eye on the reeds and their surroundings as you can spot common birds like Bergeronnette grise but also Bergeronnette printanière if you're in luck. When small birds are around birds of prey aren't far behind in the form of Épervier d'Europe , Autour des palombes , Busard des roseaux and Faucon hobereau. Some very lucky birders have also seen Martin-pêcheur d'Europe stop briefly on the area.
