The Sharm el-Sheikh Sewage Ponds are an abandoned place. Nevertheless, the former ponds, the old buildings, a small stand of reeds, and a few bushes offer resting places and habitat for birds such as Fauvette mélanocéphale, Moineau espagnol, Hirondelle de rivage, Hirondelle du désert and Hirondelle rustique. In the surrounding area Ammomane élégante, Sirli du désert and Ganga couronné can be observed.

The old sewage Ponds in Sharm el-Sheikh are located just north of the airport. You can park on one of the surrounding streets. From there you can explore the area on foot.
