The Krupa Monastery is one of the oldest Orthodox monasteries in Croatia. It has a lovely setting along the Krupa river. The river, grasslands, agricultural fields en wooded parts are attractive to birds. The vegetation along the river is a good place to search for Mésange lugubre. Other birds that you can encounter in the area are Bruant proyer, Fauvette à tête noire, Fauvette des jardins, Gobemouche gris, Loriot d'Europe, Linotte mélodieuse and Fauvette passerinette.

The Krupa Monastery is located 70 km inland from Zadar. You can park right in front of the monastery. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking you can explore the area on foot along the roads.
