Description
Everett Crowley Park is a great park to explore for woodland birds. The weblike network of trails allows birders to explore several different habitats including open woodland, field, pond, and stream areas. Highlighted species that are regularly found throughout the year include Bewick's Wren, Downy Woodpecker and Pileated Woodpecker, Cooper's Hawk and Red-tailed Hawk.
In Winter, a few waterfowl and mixed flocks of sparrows are readily found. In Spring, this is a good spot to look for Orange-crowned Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler and Wilson's Warbler, Rufous Hummingbird, Warbling Vireo and Black-headed Grosbeak. Summer brings Cedar Waxwing, Swainson's Thrush and Willow Flycatcher. Early fall sees the brief return of the spring migrants.

Everett Crowley Park is located in the Champlain Heights area of Vancouver. Access the park from the parking lot entrance on Kerr Street. If the lot is full, you can also park on Kerr Street. Press P on the map for directions.
As a birder, the best way to explore the park is on foot as this will enable you to check out some of the secondary trails that often have good spottings. It takes about two hours to do a good survey of the park. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 2,5 km.

Keep an eye out for the occasional coyote - especially early in the morning. Be sure to follow coyote safety protocols when encountered.
The park's washrooms are located near the parking lot, just across and down Kerr Street. They are on the edge of Fraserview Golf Course, a public course.
There are several cafes and restaurants located nearby along the Fraser River.
