At the mouth of the river Fakiyska waders and several heron species (Héron cendré, Crabier chevelu, Spatule blanche, Aigrette garzette and Grande Aigrette) can be seen feeding in the shallow water. Open fields attract Traquet motteux, pipits and Pie-grièche écorcheur, and woodlands attract various warblers and other passerines. In season, there will be various raptors on migration.

The mouth of the river Fakiyska is located south of the city of Burgas, between the villages of Dimchevo and Prisad. Unofficial parking is possible where a farm track meets the road - take care not to obstruct access. From here the track provides easy foot access to viewpoints over open water and to woodlands. The site has no facilities, so take appropriate clothing and water.
