Vierkensbroek nature reserve has a nice viewing cabin to observe water birds in a beautiful location. Among the birds you can see here are Martin-pêcheur d'Europe, Canard chipeau, Grèbe huppé, Grèbe castagneux, Grande Aigrette, Sarcelle d'hiver, Sarcelle d'été, Râle d'eau, Bécassine des marais, Fuligule nyroca, Grand Cormoran and Fuligule nyroca.

Vierkensbroek is located northwest of the town of Diest in Scherpenheuvel-Zichem. You can park at only 100 m from the viewing cabin, Bergstraat 70. Press P on the map for directions. Several hiking routes are possible. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3 km.
